his Supreme Court justice, the first Latina on the Court, was born in a housing project in the Bronx, attended Princeton and Yale, and is a remarkable role model for our girls. How fantastic that, on September 9, several Girls Inc. girls were privileged to hear her speak.
The venue was the Springfield Public Forum, free to the public since it began in 1935, and the oldest lecture series in the country. Before the event, there was a dinner at the MassMutual Center, and two of our Champion donors, Board chair Jane Rouilier and Development Committee member Jackie Keady, each generously hosted a table of ten, which seated the girls, staff, and other Champion donors—all expert at turning dreaming into doing.
